Rubén Pascual Tardío (Madrid, Spain, 05/27/1994)

He is a film and TV scriptwriter, director and editor. He studies Direction, Film, Edition and Postproduction for Film and TV at the Film Institute of Madrid and works as an AD and production manager in short films, TV series and commercials. He has also been hired as a script doctor and sold some of his own works as a script writer (“M.A.D.R.E.S.” and “Carlota”).

He has directed commercials (ALSA, PSOE) and multiple short films that have won more than thirty awards at festivals (among others, the European Cinematography Awards or Desafío Buñuel). Highlights in his work as an editor include music videos (Ángela Carrasco, WAOR, Pavel Núñez) and documentaries (“Beyond the Waves» documentary feature sponsored by UNESCO). After “Goodbye Susana” (2020), “It’s Christmas” (2019), “On Wheels” (2018), “The Evil Monster” (2017) and “Dark blue turning red” (2016), “Mariana Ant” is his sixth short film as a director.

Maite Uzal (Madrid, Spain, 01/05/1984) is an actress and singer.

She graduated from the Musical Theatre Conservatory Program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC). NYC credits include “In the Heights”, “Death of a Salesman” and “Uncle Vanya”.

In film, she has acted in several short films and the features “Nana” and “Little Galicia”. Maite is a producer of the project “I Am Warrior” and she has originated the character Maite for the bilingual children’s TV show “Trash Bash”, where she also co-produces and composes. She has played the role of Semíramis at Repertorio Español, for which she earned a Latin ACE Award and an HOLA Award. She could also be seen as Golde in the 1st North American National Tour of “Fiddler on the Roof” directed by Bartlett Sher. She has a degree in Law and International Relations as well as a Masters Degree in Humanities. “Mariana Ant” is her first short film as a director.
