Come and meet Taya Ben Jebara, Carl Castan, Orane de Gouttes–Pegot, Camille Depay, Sana Dupont, Alice Bastien, six of the directors selected for the 13th Edition of the Festival du film Merveilleux et Imaginaire.

Taya Ben Jebara

Born in 1998, in France. In 2016, Taya entered the Institut Sainte-Genevieve in Paris, for a year of Applied Arts Preparatory, made her first student film, “Achoura”, and obtained a Diploma of Arts and Design in Animation Film. She then entered École George Méliès in 2019.

Carl Castan

Born in 1999, in France. In 2017, Carl followed a year of Applied Arts Preparatory at Estienne school in Paris, then at EAP Prépa Seine art school. He continued his studies at Ecole Georges Méliès where he specialized in character design and 2D animation.

Orane de Gouttes–Pegot

Born in 1999, in France. Inspired by fantasy and science fiction stories, Orane entered École Georges Méliès in 2017.

Camille Depay

Born in 1998, in France. Camille followed a year of Applied Arts Preparatory in 2016, then two years of an animation film course at Institut Sainte-Genevieve, in Paris, where she made her first student film “Orbit 413D”. She then continued her studies at Ecole Georges Méliès.

Sana Dupont

Born in 1999, in France. Sana has Lebanese, French and Vietnamese origins, and grew up in the island of Saint-Martin, in the Caribbean. At 17, she arrived in Paris to follow a year of Applied Arts Preparatory and then a Diploma of Arts and Design in Animation Film at Institut Sainte-Genevieve. She then entered Ecole Georges Melies to specialize in computer graphics.

Alice Bastien

Born in 1998, in France. Having obtained an ‘Science and Technology of Design and Applied Arts’ Bachelor degree, Alice continued her studies during five years at Ecole Georges Méliès. Particularly fond of Japanese animation and architecture, she specialized in the creation of 2D/3D environments.

Synopsis: In a monochromatic city where everybody looks like one another, a painter arrives one day with the goal of offering diversity. Carrying a gigantic trailer, she will soon disturb the peaceful harmony of the town by transforming one of its inhabitants…
