A former Finance Executive at Disney, Joan threw herself into Dyslexia when her son was diagnosed more than 10 years ago. So inspired by what she learned and the intersection with business Joan launched DYSNIE a Disney social Intrapreneur venture around Designing from Dyslexia which led to dyslexia inclusive products, content, and engagement. She ultimately became a member of the Global Disability BERG launch at Disney. The ripple effect of this led to an Aspen Institute First Movers Social Innovators Fellowship, countless round tables, podcasts around dyslexic thinking, and the creation of Dyslexia, Inc to leverage dyslexia in business, across Europe and the US.

In January 2023, Joan joined Disability:IN as Lead EMEA Consultant, supporting the Global Team and Corporate Partners operating in the region to further disability inclusion practices. Originally from the US and based in France, she started career with KPMG Los Angeles before moving to Disney Europe. She is a member of the WHOLE network of international Dyslexia experts, authors, researchers, and professors.
