Last October, Russian cinema brought its visions of wonder and imagination to Paris at the Centre spirituel et culturel orthodoxe russe. Now we step through the mirror.
This March, our Festival du film merveilleux presents “Movies Around the World” traveling to the Alliance Française of Rostov-on-Don ( March 28th) to discover how French filmmakers create the marvelous, the dreamlike, and the impossible. Just as Russia shared its cinematic magic with French audiences, we now complete the reflection, offering a window into France’s tradition of enchantment on screen.
Like Alice passing through the looking glass, we enter a world both familiar and transformed. Two nations, two cinematic languages, one shared belief: that film can awaken wonder and expand the boundaries of imagination.
Welcome to the other side of the mirror.
