Director Biography – Blanca López Mayorga

Blanca López Mayorga, born in Albacete, Castilla La Mancha, is an animator and 2D character designer with an unwavering passion for the world of animation.
Currently, she is studying the General Animation Course at the prestigious ESDIP Art School, in Madrid. She graduated with distinction in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, standing out with honors in the subject “Animation Production II” of the Fine Arts Degree. Since the beginning of her professional career, Blanca has focused on 2D animation, using digital techniques, as well as directing short and feature-length animated films.
Among her achievements, her participation in projects such as “There is an elephant in my kitchen” stands out, where she contributed to 3D animation in the blocking phase within the Animation Master’s group at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. In 2020, she was part of the animation team for the short film ”Acordes”, directed by Inés Castellano Mayorga. As a culmination of her undergraduate studies at the UPV, Blanca created the animated short film ”Calma”, under the tutelage of Miguel Vidal Ortega, using various 2D techniques such as rotoscoping, traditional animation and Adobe After Effects.
During 2023, she dedicated himself to the direction and production of the animated short film “Encarna y Hueso”, in collaboration with Incomedia Producciones. Additionally, she participated in the preliminary design phase of the short film “Yungay”, directed by Marisa Bedolla in the Master of Animation at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
