Although our film is based on the Russo-Ukrainian War, a subject that one of directors, Daria, is close to, what brought this group together was to make a film with a strong opinion. A film we wouldn’t have dared to make on our own. We wanted to create an experience that was exciting to watch while dealing with a sensitive subject. Having a multi-cultural team gave us an opportunity to learn so much about Russian culture but also find commonalities with our own cultures.
