Director Biography – Juliette Gilot

Come and meet Juliette Gilot, one of the directors selected for the 13th Edition of the Festival du film Merveilleux et Imaginaire.

Juliette Gilot

Juliette Gilot first explored storytelling through her work as an editor and through the making of several documentaries. She continued her career and trained as a screenwriter. With these complementary talents, she acquired solid experience on the series CUT (France Ô), OPJ (France 3) and Police de Caractère (France 3)

Particularly inspired by the theme of the female condition and by environmental issues, she is currently developing various scripts for feature films and series, including “Woman’s Land” (Astharté et Compagnie), winner of the SACD France Europe Séries 2019 Fund. She has also just shot Bolide, her first short fiction film for the collection On s’adapte by Canal+, produced by Lucie Portehaut (White Star).

For her, if a work of fiction must make you think, it must above all entertain and make you feel.
