Come and meet Milan Enguehard-Souc, one of the directors selected for the 13th Edition of the Festival du film Merveilleux et Imaginaire.

I have been a science fiction fan since I was 4 years old, when my brother had to read out the Star Wars subtitles so that I could follow. I first turned to science, following a scientific curriculum, and started to study biology. But I was not satisfied with it. I then turned to art and fiction, starting with graphic design before branching out into animation. I am fascinated by travels, both on our world, which I have clearly not been able to explore enough, and through imagined universes, which I visit and consume in all their visual and literary forms. Sciences also remain for me a great source of interest and inspiration, drawing a lot from the study of the living, the anatomy and the morphology of the plants and animals of our world. It is thus quite naturally the construction of universes, of environments, which animates my desire to create, being able to mix the natural wonders which surrounds us with my imagination. All of this led me to develop the universe of Spationautes, which came to life through my graduation film at the Atelier supérieur d’Animation in 2022!

Synopsis: Thir and Leto, two biologists and botanists, are on board their ship on the outskirts of a vast alien planet. They venture out in search of a rare flower, travelling through plains, forests, towns and villages, meeting natives and animals, collecting what they need to complete their quest… If they can find it.
