Last March 28th, during the Mois de la Francophonie, our Festival du Film Merveilleux traveled to the Alliance Française of Rostov-on-Don, bringing a selection of French short films to Russian audiences as part of our “Movies Around the World” program.
The audience gathered to discover how French filmmakers craft the dreamlike, the impossible, and the enchanting. From talking accordions to obsessive rituals and wolves from folk tales, the films sparked curiosity, laughter, and emotion.
And this is just the beginning. We are delighted to announce that the adventure continues: the Festival du Film Merveilleux will hold its next edition in Paris (September 16–18, 2026), and we look forward to returning to the Alliance Française of Rostov-on-Don in autumn, around and beyond the festival dates. Screenings are also planned at the Alliance Française de Buenos Aires.
Because wonder travels. And we intend to keep moving.
