Ticket Sales Are Now Open for the 2026 Festival du Film Merveilleux & Imaginaire
The 16th edition of the Festival du Film Merveilleux & Imaginaire will take place in Paris on 16, 17 and 18 September 2026 at the Christine Cinéma Club.
Over three evenings, audiences will discover 26 short films from 12 countries, spanning fiction, animation, magical realism, science fiction and poetic storytelling.
This new edition explores our world and our imagination through three thematic screening programmes.
Wednesday, 16 September — What We Carry Within
An opening evening exploring childhood, memory, love, transmission and our inner worlds.

Thursday, 17 September — Facing Reality
Eight new short films take us through dreams, freedom, exile, grief, solidarity and the desire to imagine a different world.

Friday, 18 September — Imagination and Its Shadows
For the final evening of the Festival, the strange and the wonderful take centre stage: fantastic creatures, possible futures, robots, legends and coming-of-age stories will lead into the 2026 Awards Ceremony and Closing Evening.

Since its creation, the Festival du Film Merveilleux & Imaginaire has showcased filmmakers from around the world and works that use imagination as a space for creativity, reflection and dialogue.
The 16th edition is held under the patronage of the French National Commission for UNESCO.
