In 2023, Jean-François Camilleri will serve as President of the Jury for the 13th Festival du Film Merveilleux. Currently President of Echo Studio and founder of Pathé-Africa, Camilleri brings decades of experience in the movie industry, much of it with The Walt Disney Company. We are honored to have him leading the jury this year.

Joining Camilleri on the jury are several accomplished entertainment professionals:

Xavier Laurent, international actor whose credits include working with George Clooney, Matt Damon, Mark Rylance, Bruce Willis, Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby and Ron Howard.

Victoria Zadorska, independent Ukranian writer, director and filmmaker. Her latest short documentary “3 Days Before” has been recognized at festivals worldwide.

Guillaume Levil, screenwriter and director whose films have been broadcast on French television and nominated for Academy Awards. His work often explores stories of childhood and injustice.

Magdalena Korpas, European artist, actress, model and director based in Paris. She has degrees in theater and psychology and extensive experience in film, television and theater in France, England and the United States.

Olfa Benarezki, who currently works at the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) interdisciplinary network platform. Prior to that, Olfa was President of the Festival of New Cinemas for 5 years, an audiovisual and artistic cultural teacher, and began her cinema career at Films 13 with Claude Lelouch.

The jury will be responsible for selecting the winners of the festival’s top awards, including Best Film, Best Animated Film, Best Music, Best VFX, Best Screenplay and the Jury Prize. We look forward to the winners they will choose during this year’s 13th Festival du Film Merveilleux.
