Educational Resources

Film, Imagination & the Sustainable Development Goals

Stories can open doors to some of the most important questions of our time.

Through its 2026 selection, the Festival du Film Merveilleux & Imaginaire invites audiences to explore the Sustainable Development Goals through cinema, imagination and conversation.

Our educational resources are designed to extend the experience of the films beyond the screen. Each film guide brings together the filmmaker’s perspective, key themes, connections with the SDGs and questions to encourage reflection and discussion. Created for our audiences, these resources can be used before or after a screening.

Looking to organise a school, university, cultural or institutional screening?

Our films and educational resources can be used to explore themes across culture, education, technology, sustainability and society.

The Festival works with schools, universities, cultural institutions, international organisations and diplomatic communities to design tailor-made film programmes around specific themes, audiences and objectives.

Depending on the project, we can curate from the Festival’s existing selection or launch a dedicated call for films to build a programme specifically around your needs.

Screenings can also be combined with World Café sessions, facilitated conversations, workshops, filmmaker encounters or moderated roundtables, turning film into a starting point for collective reflection and dialogue.
